Card of the Northern King

I wore my heart on my sleeve with the obvious influence of print block art in this. I was more serving my maximalist needs as I obsessively meshed more shapes into more lines and getting absolutely lost. But this method also builds a piece that invites viewers to look further and discover more, reflecting the experience I had in making this. This symbol of the heart is repeated and hidden through etches of fur and hair, there is a flow of curved lines and harsh angles, and there are so many lines expressing direction and texture. Overall I took the opportunity to unleash my primal need to draw as an outlet and make something legitimately cool.
